THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Supervisor E&I for is responsible for supporting and ensuring the relevant site construction components of the Project(s) are executed in line with the contract and corresponding documentation.

This is a casual position on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, based at our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Electrical Superintendent and the Construction Manager to ensure overall schedules, budgets and target deliverable are achieved to a consistently high standard. Report and respond immediately to change to ensure schedules are being met and budget constraints are being adhered to.
  • Managing the quality of output of the contracted project site teams including alignment with Company, Contractor, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Managing the various procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to enable site teams to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work.
  • Ensuring safety, environmental, community and industrial relations, and quality plans are adhered to across the site.
  • Initiating and facilitating communication and coordination of SIMOPS between contracting groups and contracting groups and operational departments, as necessary.

 ABOUT YOU:

  • An engineering qualification or qualified electrical or instrumentation trade background, with site construction for mineral processing plant / infrastructure construction.
  • WA C-class driver’s licence and full Australian working rights.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build strong rapport and work with a wide range of people from varying backgrounds.
  • Able to read and understand complex engineering drawings, comprehend and critique construction methodologies and proposals.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with consistently high degree of accuracy and producing a high quality of deliverables, capacity to evaluate work practices, implement and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.
  • Sound understanding of WHS requirements, Section 44 Mines Safety and Inspection Act (WA) training, and Schedule 26 training (previous appointment).
  • Working at Heights competency.
  • Aconex, Outlook, Navisworks, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forwood Safety (CRM) Software, INX reporting and action close out, and Pronto (entering work orders, store orders etc.).
