THE OPPORTUNITY: 

 

Reporting to the Payroll Lead the Payroll Officer will provide support and assistance to the payroll function by ensuring end to end payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner, including liaison directly with employees as well as the Finance and HR Teams.

 

This is a permanent full-time position based at our West Perth office. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing monthly pay-runs, including liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate authorisation is in place.
  • Updating payroll records including salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, superannuation, time in lieu, new hires and terminations.
  • Assisting with month end payroll reporting.
  • Processing payments to PAYG, child support and other deductions.
  • Monitoring and processing employee leave requests.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Liaising with the HR & Finance Teams to ensure data is correct and assist with ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Managing payroll queries in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
  • Supporting employees and managers on the use of ConnX (Employee Self-Service Portal)

  • Previous experience within a Payroll function
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to deliver to a consistently high standard of work
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
