THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing an effective maintenance planning function by planning and scheduling Weekly & Shutdown Maintenance activities through the maintenance management systems (PRONTO & Microsoft Project). The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for scheduling of weekly work for the mechanical and electrical & site services teams maintenance teams in accordance with established maintenance procedures and a collaborative approach with departments and Stakeholders

 

This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop mechanical, electrical & site services weekly work programs, including schedules and project plans / charting, to be executed by the Maintenance Supervisors that include planned maintenance tasks (overhauls, replacements, servicing), preventative maintenance (inspections, lubrication, condition monitoring) with allowance for urgent unplanned works.
  • Maintain historical maintenance records for plant equipment.
  • Maintain a foreword workload of work orders, within set KPI targets, that are required for items requiring repair, replacement or modification.
  • Optimise planning efficiency through creation of standard work instructions for re-occurring maintenance activities.
  • Conduct weekly schedule review meetings of work forward logs with operational key stakeholders to establish current status and developing a work program for the following week.
  • Assist in ensuring that at condition monitoring program is maintained for critical items e.g. vibration analysis, oil analysis and records maintenance.
  • Order equipment and consumables not held as stock items through the store as part of work task planning.
  • Hiring equipment and contractors for specialised tasks not able to be performed by workshop employees.
  • Manage and schedule Shutdown work orders in Pronto

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Practical planning experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in the mining industry.
  • A trade or engineering qualification is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
  • Strong organisational and systematic planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the environment
  • Advanced skills with Pronto and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word
  • Current WA C class driver’s license
