THE OPPORTUNITY:
 

The Principal FP&A, Corporate will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Corporate and Reporting and play a pivotal role within the FP&A Corporate team.

This position will provide financial analysis and support commercial evaluations related to planning, investment, and commercial opportunities across the Company so that the value of every decision is clear, well informed and delivers appropriate long-term risk adjusted returns for shareholders and stakeholders.

The focus of this role will be on providing data driven insights to support business decisions and improvement. This will be achieved through framing, modelling, evaluating, and communicating informed recommendations to guide senior leadership on key decisions. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise and communicate effectively and adapting to change will be crucial in this role.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our West Perth office.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Frame and build financial models and evaluate various scenarios/plans to form key decision makers and communicate the risk-reward propositions of the plans and strategies.
  • Ad-hoc analysis (e.g. Sensitivity, ROIC) based on different factors/ macro-economic factors to support annual plans, quarterly and strategic long-term forecasting.
  • Maintain and continuously improve models, implementing financial model best practices.
  • Good understanding of key value drivers and flow of information through the value chain
  • Apply intelligence on industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Prepare presentations and produce Board materials.
  • Conduct presentations using storytelling to connect, engage and influence the audience.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Tertiary qualified with CA/CPA highly regarded
  • Experience in a diverse background including consulting, investment banking corporate finance or engineering.
  • ASX or international listed company experience
  • Discounted cash flow financial modelling and valuation experience
  • Expertise in financial modelling and data analysis techniques and interpretation, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts and distil technical and financial information to create easy to understand financial models to drive data insights.
  • Ability to translate financial data into meaningful written analysis, associated risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators.
