THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Group Manager, Commercial this role will support the delivery of Company Strategic objectives through the identification, assessment and execution of commercial and business development opportunities.

The Commercial Manager is responsible for assisting with the development of the Company’s sales and marketing strategy, leading the execution of the strategy which includes market and competitor analysis, product portfolio management and business development opportunities. This role is also responsible for evaluating industry trends, providing advice to ensure competitive positioning and engaging in industry stakeholders relationships to identify value add opportunities.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station.

ABOUT YOU:

• Formal tertiary qualifications in either an engineering, science or business discipline.  A post graduate professional qualification is highly regarded
• At least 7 years’ experience within the mining and resources industry and preferably experience with a combination of both lithium chemicals and spodumene concentrate sales experience.
• An in-depth knowledge of the lithium industry and global market trends is highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional negotiation skills
• Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships across multiple functions in a diverse work environment
• Exhibits deep curiosity, demonstrating strategic thinking to drive long-term, profitable growth
• Proficient in conversing in Mandarin is highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience in establishing internal and external new business platforms, management consulting, market development, supply chain, competitive intelligence is highly desirable.
